The School Trip Competition

Last Saturday, Class B went to Greenhill Park. The weather was warm and sunny, and everyone felt excited. Ms Carter brought a big picnic bag, but Jake carried a smaller one.

First, the class played a running race. Mia was faster than Leo, but Leo was stronger than Mia. Then they tried a bike track. The bike track was longer than the playground track, and it looked more dangerous.

After that, Ms Carter started a funny challenge: “Find three natural treasures!” Some kids found bigger leaves, others found smaller stones, and one group found the strangest feather. Mia said, “This feather is more interesting than a leaf!”

At lunchtime, everyone sat on the grass. Jake ate two sandwiches, but Mia ate one because she felt tired. The park café was more expensive than the school cafeteria, so they didn’t buy anything.

Finally, Ms Carter gave points. The winners were Mia’s team because their treasures were better than the others. Leo smiled and said, “Next time, I will be better!”

The Lost Lunchbox

After lunch, something strange happened. Mia looked for her lunchbox, but it wasn’t there. She felt worried because her lunchbox was newer than Leo’s and much bigger.

Ms Carter didn’t panic. She asked, “Did anyone see Mia’s lunchbox?” The class didn’t shout. They listened carefully. Jake said, “I saw a squirrel near the bags. It was braver than the other squirrels!”

They walked to the trees. The forest path was darker than the grass area, and it felt more mysterious. Leo didn’t like it, but Mia was calmer than him. Then Jake pointed and said, “Look!”

Behind a bench, they found the lunchbox. It was open, and there were crumbs everywhere. The squirrel ran away with a cookie. Mia laughed. “My lunchbox is safer than my cookies,” she said. Ms Carter smiled: “Next time, put your food in a tighter box!”
