Adventure Tommy gets lost in the forest

Adventure Tommy rides his bike into the forest. There is a dangerous slope, but Tommy wants to try it. His friends are scared. They stop and wait… but then they leave him alone. Tommy says, “I can do it!” He goes down the slope anyway.
Tommy goes faster and faster. Then he falls off his bike. Ouch! He has scratches on his arms and legs. He stands up, looks around, and feels cold inside. The trees are tall and the path is gone. Tommy is lost.

Tommy walks and walks between the trees. He is hungry and tired, but he doesn’t cry. He follows a little trail and sees a small cottage. There is smoke from the chimney. Tommy knocks on the door. An old hippy lady opens it. She has long grey hair and colourful clothes. She smiles and gives him water.
Inside the cottage there is warm soup. The lady listens and helps Tommy. She shows him the way back to town. Later, Tommy finds his friends and says, “I survived on my own!” His friends are shocked. Tommy grins and says, “Because I’m Adventure Tommy, that’s all!”
