Hello! I’m Emma. I love clothes!
On school days, I wear my blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and my pink shoes. I also wear my school jacket when it’s cold.

When I play sports, I wear my shorts, a yellow top, and my trainers. I can run and jump fast in them!

On my birthday, I wear my favourite red dress and a sparkly hairband. My friends always say, “Wow, Emma, you look amazing!”

  • Short adjectives (1 syllable): add –er + than
    warm → warmer than, long → longer than, bright → brighter than
  • Adjectives ending in –y: change y → i and add –er + than
    trendy → trendier than, heavy → heavier than
  • CVC endings (consonant–vowel–consonant): double final consonant + –er
    thin → thinner than, big → bigger than, thick → thicker than
  • Longer adjectives (2+ syllables, not ending in –y): more + adjective + than
    comfortable → more comfortable than, practical → more practical than
  • Use than after the comparative. Avoid irregulars (good → better, bad → worse) here.
